      Whole Cumin (Comino Entero) is the dried fruit of the Cuminum cyminum plant, a member of the parsley family. The small, oval seeds have a strong, earthy flavor and a distinctive aroma. Cumin is an essential spice in Mexican cuisine, where it is used for achiote pastes, adobo sauces and sofritos. To enhance the flavor, toast the seeds in a dry skillet and lightly crush. Use the crushed cumin along with other spices to add bold flavor to meat marinades for fajitas or tacos, albondigas, moles and tamales.
